The continuous improvement of the services we offer to customers lies at the heart of the Company's efforts. It is a promise that is materialized on a daily basis. Ensuring high quality standards and continuously extending the range of our products with all market trends is a promise that is materialized on a daily basis.

The Company's policy with regard to extending the network of its stores is based on opening new Cash & Carry and My Market stores all over Greece.

As regards Cash & Carry stores, the Company's policy is to establish one store in each medium-sized and big city in Greece in order to cover the country's geographical trade at 95%. With regard to My Market stores, the Company aims to open stores in each central road or/and market place all over Greece.

Every year, the Company invests considerable funds to this end; as a result the ratio of self-owned stores to those that are actually rented (in the case of new stores) is 2:1; in total, more than half of the Company's stores are self-owned making up more than 70% of the area that our stores occupy in total.

Today METRO has 45 My Market stores and 30 Cash & Carry stores all over Greece.

The Company aims to create 2 more My Market stores, 1 in Inofyta and 1 Cash & Carry store in Corinth.

Finding Property

Η METRO is interested in finding new locations for its stores. The specifications of the property needed (for purchase or rent) are as follows

• My Market: Building covering an area of 1,200-2,000 sq.m., on one or two levels, or a piece of land where it will be possible to erect such a building. The site must be located in a central road or/and the market place of each location.

• Cash & Carry: Building covering an area of 2,500-3,500 sq.m., 5 meters high on the inside, on a single level or a piece of land where it will be possible to erect such a building. The site must be located in a city or its suburbs, on a central highway with easy access and comfortable parking facilities.
